Is the EU planning an Orwellian state? -INDECT-
« on: March 19, 2011, 01:10:27 AM »
“Intelligent information system supporting observation, searching and detection for security of citizens in urban environment “

Who needs unnecessary values and trivialities such as civil rights and liberties,  now that Indect is on its way??
Let's face the facts, somehow we're all terrorists, aren't we?

EU's magic word is INDECT – for a better world!
Finally the Orwellian nightmare shall come true......
"Poverty has been created by the economic and social system that we have designed for the world. It is the institutions that we have built,  which created poverty and we feel so proud of them. "

They should first try to develope a really good translator machine so that we whose English isn’t even a second language don’t have to struggle with english syntax. The INDECT observation system sounds so complex that I simply don’t believe it’s possible to develope it, at least not yet. My guess is they’re just trying to enlarge their budget for something that is probably never to come into existence and/or to spread the paranoia.

But, if they should somehow accomplish this project and achieve their goal, then it could easily turn out to be counterproductive. The majority can’t stand being observed so that  it could lead to general increase in aggressiveness.

As Benjamin Franklin said: “Those who desire to give up freedom in order to gain security will not have, nor do they deserve, either one.”
