Four children among those killed on Sunday

DAMASCUS

Forces loyal to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad used heavy weapons in their operations against opponents in various cities on Sunday, killing 50 people including four children.

In a statement, the UK-based Syria National Human Rights Watchdog (SNHR) said the regime forces staged air attacks on the opposition controlled areas and killed 14 people in the suburbs of Damascus, 14 in Aleppo, 8 in Hama, 7 in Homs, 3 in each Dera and Idlib, and 1 in Deru’z Zor.

- Alleged gas attack in Jobar region

The Local Coordination Committees of Syria (LCC) asserted in a statement that regime forces carried out a gas attack on opposition controlled Jobar region. The people, who were poisoned by gas, suffered partial vision loss, labored breathing, and severe nausea and vomiting, and have been taken into clearing hospital, according LCC statement.

The satement also reported that regime army helicopters dropped several barrel bombs on the oppositon control arreas in Aleppo, where many buildings were either damaged or demolished.

The LCC also said fierce clashes took place north of Damascus between Free Syrian Army members and the regime forces0.

Assad forces have staged artillery and rocket attacks on the Kalat el Mudik region of Hama and the people have started a mass exodus from the region, according to the statement.

The LCC also said that the regime forces staged an artillery attack on the opposition controlled Darayya region of Damascus and as well as Douma, Qabun, Jobar, and Yebrud.
