West Papua, the Melanesian region in the Pacific ruled by Indonesia, has long been plagued by issues of media freedom.
But for the first time a journalist from the country has visited New Zealand to highlight how dire the situation really is. Interviewed: Tabloid Jubi editor Victor Mambor, NZ journalist Paul Bensemann, PMC director Professor David Robie, Green MP Catherine Delahunty. Reporter: Struan Purdie for Asia-Pacific Journalism (Pacific Media Centre, AUT University). Related story: http://www.pmc.aut.ac.nz/pacific-medi...
