Gitmo guards facing sexual assault charges

Two guards at the Guantanamo Bay detention facility are being charged with sexually assaulting subordinate soldiers. Rape, groping, and pursuing sexual relationships are amongst the allegations being levied at the two soldiers. The incidents reportedly go as far back as January of 2013. RT's Lindsay France takes a look at the charges.

The amount of sexual assault the goes on in the military is a dark secret that many US officials are ashamed of. There is changes in motion now to get the reporting of such deviant sexual acts to civilian courts and such. The rule that it was reported to the next line of command was NOT a good way to get it reported like it should. The commanders of course had it in their best interest NOT to report it at all.

That's a good point Riney, I think where sexual assault is a system-interior problem, the only way to get it under control is to have external entities to report to.
