Jeremy Hammond, the prominent hacker with the group Anonymous, was placed on a terrorist list by the FBI.

He was classified officially on the FBI’s Terrorist Screen Database as a “possible terrorist organization member” and labeled a “hacktivist” with Anonymous, the Guardian reported.
And his listing has civil liberty activists upset.

“This raises questions about the U.S. government’s definition of terrorism and whether they have expanded it to include hackers,” said Hanni Fakhoury, a senior staff attorney for the Electronic Frontier Foundation.
