USA & Canada: Police State vs The People
« on: July 20, 2011, 06:19:22 AM »
OMG * is going on over in North America?!  ???

I'm am so frightened for the friends I have met on the internet from the mighty US of A and Canada.

The internet has been such a wonderful invention. It is bringing everyday ppl of the world so much closer together, so we may learn about one another, and that we are essentially all of the same flesh and blood, hopes and dreams, worries and fears. And that ultimately, we all just want peace and to be left alone by our govts in our living rooms, at the very least. But since the govts and their lacky authority slaves dont seem to understand that simple concept, then of course we are going to go out on the streets and protest for the values we truely believe in - for what should be countries of liberty and free expression.

Together we are learning that it is actually the corrupt govt and criminal corporate elite of this world who are trying to manipulate us into hate and fighting each other, when in reality it is their oppression, propaganda, half-truths and outright lies which we must protest against before it is too late. Before we wake up one day to find this sort of thing becomes acceptable in our societies and prevalent in the everyday lives  of average people.

Things are getting really scarey over there, and it's seemingly only getting worse.

Police State: 2011

Excellent video compilation of various protest and general arrest/abuse incidents - some you will recognise from recent months, and others from the past couple of years. (Clips from 2009 are the earliest date represented in this video).

Though this video contains footage of both innocents and criminals being subject to police action, remember that police are granted their authority and powers under a social contract and are bound to carry out their duties within the frame work of law. What we see here is completely unacceptable, and a breach of that social contract.

What happens when there is nobody to police the police?
I was handing out fliers the other night at Summerfest, and I was saying "Support Freedom?" to get people to grab my material. One girl replied with "I live in America...you can't get any more free than that."

Well sweetheart...I wish you could see this.

Notes: Song is "Lux Aeterna", full string mix from the Requiem For a Dream Soundtrack. All credit belongs to Clint Mansell and whoever owns his soul.

I endorse and support Anonymous wholeheartedly. Please do not mark Anon comments as spam. I will just unmark them.

Lastly, yes, the Toronto G20 summit was hijacked by violent Black Bloc Anarchists. Regardless, the footage here is of PEACEFUL PROTESTERS being surrounded and attacked for being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

And yes, the guy in the Miami shooting WAS driving recklessly. But tell me...do you really think it's necessary to fire over 100 rounds into a vehicle and hospitalize four bystanders in the process over one driver? Do you?

In this video:
Ron Paul - excerpt from speech.
Alyona (RT) - News report about homeless man, Charles Hill, shot dead by San Francisco Bay Area transit police - this clip shows footage of protester arrests July 2011.
Adam Kokesh & fellow dancing protesters - footage of their brutal arrests at the Thomas Jefferson Memorial, Washington DC 29th May 2011.
Riot police at G20 protests Toronto, Canada - 27 June 2010.
Elizabeth Good - arrested for filming police from her front yard in Rochester NY - 21 June 2011.
Unnamed reckless driving suspect - alledged to have been firing at police, was shot and killed in Miami FL, 30th May 2011. No weapon was recovered and Four bystanders were hospitalised by police gun fire - over a hundred rounds were shot after the driver had already stopped his vehicle.
Officer Leonardo Quintana shot and killed Nathaniel Sanders in Austin Texas on 11th May 2009 for sleeping in his vehicle. Sanders possessed a handgun for protection. In 2010 Quintano was arrested and fired for DUI and later reinstated.
Riot Police and Protesters - Martial law declared in areas surrounding G20 Summit in Pittsburgh, PA on 24th September 2009. Breach of "curfew" saw people violently detained and subject to police action.
Mentally ill disabled man in wheel chair & San Fran Police  -  The man is alledged to have stabbed an officer in the shoulder when the officer attempted to subdue him with pepper spray. He is shot by police after tossing his knife away - Jan 2011
Unidentified footage of police home raid. (any info on this incident would be appreciated).
Unidentified man and officer - no location, suspect shot in the street 30th August 2010. (any info would be appreciated).
Unidentified suspect, hit by police car and knocked unconscious, is then brutally beaten by several officers - March 2009.

These armed men in costumes are not here to "protect" you. They are here to protect the State, the State's wars, the State's riches, and the State's consolidation of power.

G20 Toronto Collected Scenes of Police Brutality

Quote from: Video Description - Uploaded by TheAlyonaShow on 28 Jun 2010
The G20 conference in Canada wrapped up yesterday. On Saturday, thousands of protestors took to the streets to let their voices be heard, but they were met with a heavy police presence. Peaceful protests turned violent with hundreds of arrests made. Alyona discusses with RT Correspondent Lauren Lyster. Lyster says some of these protestors felt for any change to happen they had to take violent measures.

Protesters or Agent Provocateurs? You Decide.

This video contains various images and footage following the Black Bloc "protesters" and questions why there was no police presence in areas of extreme violence, and why obviously peaceful protesters were often targeted and harrased by the authorites.

G20 Toronto Black Bloc "THE REAL STORY"

Why do these clearly violent "protesters" end up behind the police  line of protection? Yet the police are yelling at the person with the camera to "get back" when he is nowhere near them.

Listen in the background and you can hear someone call to the officer "No Arrest".  He appears somewhat confused, but does not pursue the "protester".

News report containing police issued "communique" that undercover police officers were indeed posing as Black Bloc anarchy protesters at the G20 in Toronto.

Fox 8 News Report - Despite Family's Pleas, Ohio Man Pepper Sprayed to Death

Article Date - July 18, 2011
http://www.fox8.com/news/wjw-ohio-man-pepper-spray-death-bs-txt,0,3891179.story

Quote from: Fox 8 Reporter Bill Sheil
GIRARD, Ohio - Joyce Christie composes herself just to try and talk about what happened to her husband, Nick.

"He was a man that needed medical help. Help that he didn't get. I trusted the wrong people," she says softly.

When her husband showed signs of mental issues while visiting his brother in Florida, Joyce reached out to the sheriff's office in Fort Myers.

Ultimately, after being taken to jail instead of a hospital first, Nick died.

The medical examiner in Florida ruled it a "homicide" because Nick had been "restrained and pepper sprayed by law enforcement officers."

Man Shot In Back By Police For Not Paying Train Fare *Warning: Graphic Video*

Quote from: Video Description - Uploaded by MacSlavo on 18 Jul 2011
The following graphic video was shot in San Francisco on July 16, 2011, where a man was reportedly shot at 6 - 10 times after failing to produce a train ticket after disembarking and then running from police. The 19 year old man struggles for life for a few moments and then his body lay motionless on the pavement as police hold the crowd at bay. Initial reports provided by Jack Blood's Dead Line Live via Domas Jefferson indicate the man was unarmed, but SF PD reported the following day that a silver handgun was found. Witnesses can be heard asking police where the gun is, and no such weapon appears in the video.

Caught on tape: Police beat and taser 'gentle' mentally-ill homeless man to death

Guardian Article:  WARNING GRAPHIC PHOTO
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2019225/Kelly-Thomas-Police-beat-taser-gentle-mentally-ill-homeless-man-death.html

Quote from: Guardian Reporter Rachel Quigley - 29th July 2011
A shocking video has been released allegedly showing police officers tasering and beating a homeless man to death who they claim was resisting arrest.

Though the video is not clear, eye witnesses say the homeless man - Kelly Thomas, 37 - was unable to put up any resistance and was lying on the ground on his front when the attack took place on July 5.

The video was shot by a student in Fullerton, California. Kelly Thomas was beaten so badly he died in hospital several days later.

According to Gawker, Thomas - who suffered from schizophrenia - caught the attention of the police after someone reported that a burglar was breaking into cars parked near a Fullerton bus station.

When officers approached Thomas in the depot parking lot and tried to arrest him, he resisted.

After that reports diverge.

Police will not issue a statement saying the issue is under investigation but they did say that six officers were involved and two 'suffered broken bones in the fight'.

However, they recently retracted that statement saying that it was only 'soft tissue damage'.
