A wikileaks twitter list
« on: January 08, 2012, 16:29:10 PM »
Suggestion, could we  a page of twitter accounts of people who actively tweet and support Wikileaks to be maintained at this site? It would make who to follow easy, as there is a growing and strong community on Twitter.

If an appropriate short hastag could be associated (a bit like followfriday), people would then know to follow back.  E.g.  #WLfollow

I think this could help facilitate sharing of knowledge, a very powerful thing.

Regards

Thanks for your reply.  i am not entirely sure, a thread could end up being miles long. however if there were a list where members only could simply leave their twitter ID (not necessarily with their forum ID as they could be different and may it want them publically associated).  Not sure what tools you have available... Much of the site appears message-board format.

at the moment, Im working on a system that would allow members to add links to their wikileaks related sites or twitter accounts. I expect it to be up soon as it is in beta at the moment.

what about the security? This morning I posted my twittername here. but is this really secure? If anyone tweets me "hey erasmas" although my twittername is different. (how do you call a username in englsh, it can't be twittername, I think?)
you know what I mean, please think about it.

I would like to give my twitter address for sure..I already do tweet.  My concern is how careful do you have to be.  I tend not to worry about my involvement and beliefs about free speech etc  do I need to be more concerned.  If I leave info here is it safe?
